How long is the warranty period?

Can I set it to have my soup or tea ready at a certain time?

Yes, there's a timer (reservation) function, which is lovely if you want a warming soup ready when the kids get home. Press the "Timer" button to set how far ahead you want it to start, then choose your cooking mode within 5 seconds. Each press adds 30 minutes, and you can hold it down to count up faster, to a maximum of 9 hours and 30 minutes. For example, set it at 8am for a one hour soup and it'll be cooked and keeping warm by lunchtime.

What happens if I forget and it boils dry?

No need to panic. The kettle has dry burn protection. If it runs dry it will beep, show "E00" on the screen, and switch off on its own. Just add water, let it cool down, and it'll reset to standby ("-:--"). That said, please avoid heating it empty, as running it dry regularly will shorten its life.

Does it keep my drink or food warm after it's finished, and for how long?

Most functions automatically switch to Keep Warm once they finish, and it holds for up to 8 hours before returning to standby. The warming temperature depends on what you're making (around 40°C to 55°C for milk, and adjustable between 40°C and 90°C for most other settings). Do note that boiling eggs and cooking noodles do not keep warm, as they simply switch off when done.

Is it possible to cook food like eggs or noodles in a glass kettle?

It sure is! The kettle comes with a handy egg rack that holds up to five eggs, an absolute lifesaver for quickly prepping school lunchboxes. Just remember to always use the rack and never place eggs directly on the metal heating plate, as they might crack. For noodles or soups, just pop your ingredients straight into the glass pot and select the matching function.

How do I clean it, and do I need to descale it?

It could not be simpler. Wipe the glass with a soft cloth and a little washing up liquid, rinse, then dry. A quick descale twice a year keeps it sparkling.
