Love this mini rice cooker. The ceramic bowl is great, cooks oats and rice well. I am looking forward to making tofu kimchi soup and other soups and stews.

The literal translation from Japanese to English in the instruction booklet was very confusing - I had to google the exact model number and ask AI how to cook rice - I hit my dimple answer, no confusion and followed the instructions - the Kylin cooler then did the job well . A big problem with this cooker is - • NO count down figures displayed so you’ve no idea when it’s likely to complete its activated cycle ! • AND if you leave iron the warm cycle for too long the rice becomes dry and “ brittle” - even though the warm cycle does give timing digits, it does NOT count DOWN for that 15min cycle, it counts UPWARDS ! That’s why I left it on warm for 20mins rather than 10-15mins - it showed 10mins so I thought that it would count DOWN to zero - but 10mins later when I checked it, the warm cycle had been on for 20mins!! Hence the resulting rice had sections of dry/brittle pieces - verified this by much through some melted butter. It would be so much more sensible for the cooker to have a counter in its display window.

Loving it so far : ) My order arrived with a cracked ceramic pot, but the team at Hello Kitchen replaced it immediately. Since then, have done a lot of rice cooker one-pot meals, cooked perfect rice and loving the ceramic inner pot! Cooking times are slightly long compared to standard rice cookers (I timed over 45 minutes for 1-2 cups of rice), and the buttons/functions are a bit finicky BUT otherwise, the unit looks super cute and is easy to use and clean. Happy to have a rice cooker back in my life <3
